Q&A: Headaches in Pregnancy

Q: I'm 16 weeks pregnant and suffering with bad headaches which can turn into migraines and hayfever. I've noticed you sell a couple of products which sound like they could help me, can I just ask it is ok for me to use your products?

Tracy

A: We have two products which may help. These are Essential Vapour Balm and Head Ease & Relief Balm. There is no physiological reason why you would not be able to use them in pregnancy. However I would advise as a standard precaution (given that I am unable to take a full clinical assessment) to check that your primary carer (ie midwife or GP) is comfortable with you using complimentary therapies/natural remedies.

Headaches are of concern in pregnancy as whilst they are generally harmless they may rarely indicate more serious conditions such as high blood pressure. Almost always normal so no need to worry, however as a routine precaution please mention to your midwife or GP without delay.
Please contact me if you have any further questions.
